Position: Educational Data Facilitator (Term)Effective: On or about November 13, 2023 - On or about February 12, 2023Hours: 8:00 - 4:00Rate of Pay: $22/Hr. - $22/Hr. Description:EDUCATIONAL DATA FACILITATOR DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This position supports the software necessary to operate the District's computer database, generate reports, and upload reports to the appropriate State Database. The incumbent would report to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and the District Data Coordinator. EXAMPLES OF WORK: (illustrative only) Act as a central registrar. Create and maintain district registration forms. Disseminates information to schools and staff on student placement/enrollment/transfer. Provide a central point of contact for users to address questions, report problems, and submit requests for educational data management systems. Upgrade skills through training, staff development and, as appropriate, attendance at conferences and workshops. Manage; coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the Student Management System. Develop and maintain needed system standardizations for the data. Maintain use access security for applicable programs. Regularly perform file maintenance on data management applications. Facilitate grade reporting activities. Facilitate new school year setup; Term start/end dates School calendar setup Attendance setup Establish and maintain the calendar for the regular scheduled and recurring data management tasks. Generate and upload appropriate reports to the appropriate State Database. Troubleshoot/contact appropriate staff to resolve data errors in the district SMS and at the state level. Perform query writing to meet the needs of the district including all necessary export queries. Write and maintain process and procedures documentation. Train District Staff in data management applications. Implement accurate reporting of individual student data. Define and document data collection standards. Generate and communicate reports based on District data and needs. Manage assigned data warehouse systems & procedures. All other duties identified by the Superintendent of Schools and the District Data Coordinator. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Through knowledge of Data management techniques including contemporary database management systems; thorough knowledge of Installed database systems, project planning and management;general knowledge of installed application systems; Good knowledge of data processing policies and standards; General understanding of data processing functions, structures, and support needs. General understanding of specified web based applications; General knowledge of PC systems; good human relations skills; Effective oral and written communication skills; Effective presentation techniques. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS; 1. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grand degrees with a Bachelors degree and two (2) years of clerical, administrative or office management experience which shall have involved maintain electronic records in a database or spreadsheet application and preparing reports; or 2. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (6) years clerical, administrative or office management experience which shall have involved maintaining electronic records in a database or spreadsheet application and preparing reports; 3. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).Apply on OLAS
