Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Adult Education Department.Adult Education POSITION: Coordinator of Business and Employer Services for the Rockland County Career Center Grant Funded Program DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and conducts outreach; serves as the principal liaison with local employers, educational institutions, and businesses in Rockland CountyIdentifies, recruits, and maintains collaborative relationships with local businesses and educational institutions to establish a job bank aligned with WIOA regulationsDevelops a range of educational initiatives responsive to the needs of top-priority industry sectors as decided by the Workforce Development Board (WDB)Coordinates job fairs, on-the-spot interviews, and work based learning opportunities for local employers, students, and career center clientsDevelops on-the-job (OJT) training, internship, work based learning, and full- and part-time employment opportunities for a diverse population of clients and studentsAttends regular sessions with immediate supervisor, and staff meetings as well as any other agency-related activities or program-related meetings offsiteCompletes regular monthly and statistical reportsDevelops and maintains good communication with other programs and BOCES divisions to facilitate intra-agency referrals and collaborationOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field such as School Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or Social Work required. NYSED certification in the areas listed or Adult Education certification required. Experience in the Workforce Development field is a plus.
