Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Adult Education Department.POSITION: Adult Education Instructor – Case Manager of Literacy Zone Grant Funded ProgramResponsibilities:Coordinates the WIOA Title II Area 5 Literacy Zone Grant in Spring Valley, NYManages the Spring Valley Family Welcome CenterAttends monthly Spring Valley Collaborative meetings to establish connections with non-profit agencies and service providers in Rockland CountySurvey adult learners to establish goals and needs of Spring Valley residentsPlans, coordinates and conducts workshops and other service connection events for adult learnersCompletes state mandated reports as defined by the Adult Education Programs and Policy office and WIOA guidelinesWorks closely with the Literacy Coordinator and Caseworker to verify whether accountability benchmarks are being metCollects data for data entry as required by the grantPerforms other duties as established by administration QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required. NYSED or Adult Education Certification required. Experience with data systems preferred.
