Rockland BOCES Adult Education is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic part-time evening instructor to prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. The instructor will teach core topics such as medical terminology related to pharmacy, dosage calculations, drug classifications, dispensing of prescriptions, sterile products, inventory, IV admixture preparation basics, pharmacy rules and regulations, HIPPA and communication skills, etc. in a classroom / lab setting.PROGRAM:         Adult EducationPOSITION:           Adult Education Career Training Instructor  -Pharmacy Technician-- Part-Time EveningCERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:    Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician required. Associates degree or higher preferred.Strong communication skills and a commitment to adult learning; Ability to teach weekday evening classes.
