The Red Hook Central School District is seeking a NYS Certified Teaching Assistant to support students at the high school level (special education). Salary as per the RHFA bargaining agreement. Duties may include:Working with high school life-skills students to further develop academic and skills of daily living;working with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects;providing the teacher/case manager with information about students that will assist the teacher/case manager in the development of appropriate learning experiences and supports;assisting students in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials;utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in core instructional programs;assisting in related instructional work as required;collaborate with the teacher and job coach to facilitate students’ acquisition of strong employability skills. Applicants must hold a NYS Teaching Assistant certificate. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are preferred.
