The Red Hook Central School District is seeking a NYS Certified Teaching Assistant to support students at the middle school level (special education grade 6). Salary range is $25,819-$27,885 with additional compensation provided for those with a BA/MA degree. Duties may include:working with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects;providing the teacher/case manager with information about students that will assist the teacher/case manager in the development of appropriate learning experiences and supports;assisting students in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials;utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in core instructional programs such as social studies and science;supporting students using necessary testing accommodations;assisting in related instructional work as required;several positions will require to work with students after school with a flexed schedule. Applicants must hold a NYS Teaching Assistant certificate. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are preferred.
