The Red Hook Central School District is seeking a NYS Certified Teaching Assistant to support students at the middle school level (special education). Salary range is $26,335-28,443 with additional compensation provided for those with a BA/MA degree. Duties may include:Managing testing accommodations for students with IEPs;working with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects;providing the teacher/case manager with information about students that will assist the teacher/case manager in the development of appropriate learning experiences and supports;assisting students in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials;utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in core instructional programs such as social studies and science;supporting students using necessary testing accommodations;assisting in related instructional work as required. Applicants must hold a NYS Teaching Assistant certificate. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are preferred. Applicants must upload the following: cover letter, resume, 3 letters of recommendation, copy of Teaching Assistant certificate, and copies of college transcripts.
