The Red Hook Central School District is seeking applicants for a Director of Pupil Personnel Services with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2025 who meet the following criteria: Possess New York State School District Leader or School District Administrator certification Prior experience as a special education teacher or related service provider (special education administrative experience preferred) Knowledge of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Parts 200 and 201 (Students with Disabilities), Section 504, Impartial Hearing processes, McKinney-Vento Regulations, Title IX, RtI, grant writing, and alternative placement processes Experience chairing CPSE, CSE and 504 meetings Possess a thorough understanding of the developmental needs of all children Possess a strong vision for twenty-first century teaching/learning that includes an appreciation for the role of assistive technologies and social/emotional learning Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills Successful track record using data to inform program, guide instructional decisions, and maintain a high level of accountability Experience effectively evaluating faculty (under the APPR process) and support staff Experience collaborating (and inspiring) a dedicated and talented PPS staff (eg: special educators, school counselors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, speech, etc.) Ability (and disposition) to work effectively with students, parents and community groups Be a strong advocate for children with special needs Experience with reporting requirements for state-aid and other purposes Experience with predictive budgeting for a district-wide program, and other purposes Experience implementing a professional development program for special education and related staff Salary range: $140,000-$170,000 based on experience.
