RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the student directly in academic, social, emotional, self-help, and health development and goalsSupport the student directly in staying safe and engaged in the classroomSupport special education and general education teachers in their academic, social, emotional, self-help, and health development of students with disabilitiesSupport the implementation and progress monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEP)Provide individual support to the student both within and outside of the general setting to provide access to general activities to the maximum extent possibleAssist both special education as well as general education teachers with maintaining student IEP recordsWork within a team of other professionals, such as a speech therapist, counselor, occupational therapist, etc.QALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent Belief that all children deserve the opportunity to learn and grow academically, emotionally, and sociallyCommitment to inclusive and diverse educational access
