Starting 9/1/22 - Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a long-term regular substitute Special Education Teacher position located at our Sackett Education Center in East Greenbush, NY. This position will cover a long term leave of absence from the start of the school year through December 2022. This Regents-based 6:1:1 (six students, one teacher, one teaching assistant) program is for high school students with a focus on academics and coping strategies. Students in grades 11 and 12 can participate in Career & Technical Education (CTE) or Career Studies (CS) classes as appropriate. Students can also participate in Career Development Occupational Studies (CDOS) classes to work toward achieving a CDOS credential.Proper NYS Students with Disabilities 7-12 certification required. Certified 7-12 content area (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies) Teachers are encouraged to apply. Applicants who recently graduated pursuing NYS Teacher certification are also encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have dual special education certification with a content area.
