New position for the 2023-24 school year. Questar III BOCES is seeking a full time Special Education Teacher to work with high school students at the Questar III STEM High School located on the campus of HVCC in Troy, NY. The position will monitor goals in IEP’s and 504’s, communicate with component districts, as well as provide resource room support and consultant teaching services as needed. The Special Education teacher will support a collaborative project based environment to ensure all students find success. STEM High School is a rigorous program that is geared towards real world problem solving skills, forging connections with industry professionals, and exposing students to 21st century skills. Innovative teachers who enjoy working in a team environment are ideal candidates. NYS certification in Secondary Special Education required (candidates willing to pursue secondary special education certification are encouraged to apply).
