ANTICIPATED OPENING 2026-2027 Special Education Teacher Secondary ELA/Resource Room – Part-Time (.2) Dates: 8/31/2026-6/30/27 Job Description: The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS Certified Part-Time (.2) Special Education ELA 7-12 or ELA SOCE Teacher to join our team. The role involves supporting high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements. Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals. - Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations. - Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring. - Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers. - Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Qualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in SWD 7-12 or SWD All Grades. - Valid NYS Certification or SOCE in ELA 7-12 - Experience teaching high school students preferred. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
