The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time FACS teacher to join our team! Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging FACS lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and state standards.- Foster a classroom environment where students can understand the importance of nutritious foods and how it contributes to good health.- Encourage and support students in learning how different content areas are connected to FACS.- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.- Participate in school events and activities as needed.- Maintain safe and orderly classroom- Support the home-school connection through effective communication with all families.Requirements: - Must have a current and active NYS Department of Education Certificate in Family and Consumer Science.
