ANTICIPATED OPENING 2026-2027 ELEMENTARY TEACHERS-PROBATIONARY Location: POB MIDDLE SCHOOL/H.B. MATTLIN MIDDLE SCHOOL Required: -Valid NYS Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) or 7-12 content with Middle School extension. -Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university -Demonstrated knowledge of New York State Learning Standards -Strong classroom management and instructional skills -Experience differentiating instruction to support diverse learning, including ENL students and students with IEP’s -Excellent collaboration, communication and organizations skills -Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Preferred: -Master’s degree in education or relevant content area -Proficiency in project-based learning and enrichment activities, focusing on developing students’ skills in research, with creative applications for conducting research and public presentations -Strong familiarity with technology integration in the classroom (e.g. Google Workspace for Education, AI, etc.) -Knowledge of SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) frameworks -Experience working collaboratively in grade-level or interdisciplinary teams Start Date: August 31, 2026 Salary: As per contract Deadline to Apply: Friday, April 10, 2026
