ANTICIPATED OPENING: BUSINESS TEACHER (PROBATIONARY) 2026-2027 The Plainview-Old Bethpage Business Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team as a High School Business Teacher. This position is a full-time tenure track position, where you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning environment. Start Date: August 31, 2026 Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with course curriculum. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and shared best practices. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Key Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching business. - Demonstrated knowledge in a core area of business education, including, but not limited to marketing, accounting, business law, real estate, and/or personal finance. - Enthusiasm around involvement in co-curricular activities related to the Business Department. Requirements: - New York State teaching certification in Business Education 7-12. - Excellent communication and organizational skills.
