ANTICIPATED OPENING 2023-2024World Language Teacher (Spanish) Middle School Level - Probationary The POB World Language Department is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a teacher of Spanish in the middle shcool, probationary ppointment. As a key member of our educational community, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive and culturally responsive learning nvironment. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with revised NY World Language Standards and be sensitive to diverse learning styles.- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and cultural awareness.- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.- Utilize high leverage instructional strategies to support language acquisition and proficiency in Spanish.- Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues.Key Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching Spanish language and culture.- Collaborative mindset, eager to work in a team-oriented environment.- Culturally responsive approach to teaching, valuing, and incorporating diverse perspectives.- FLES (Foreign Language in Elementary Schools) certified candidates are preferred but not required.- ENL (English as a New Language) certified candidates are a plus.Requirements: - New York State teaching certification in Spanish 7-12- Demonstrated proficiency in both Spanish and English.- Strong organizational and communication skills.Start Date: On or before January 2, 2024Salary: As per contractApplication Deadline: Tuesday, December 11, 2023
