We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable full-time Secondary Technology Teacher to join our faculty and inspire the next generation of digital leaders. Location: POBJFK High School & POB Middle School Position Overview: The ideal candidate will bring expertise in teaching technology to secondary-level students (grades 7-12) and a commitment to helping learners explore and develop skills in areas such as fundamental industrial art skills, wood working, coding, robotics, video media, architecture drawing, and emerging technologies. This position is perfect for an educator who thrives in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will encourage creativity and critical thinking while guiding students through both the technical and artistic aspects of digital and design-based learning. Key Responsibilities: - Develop engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that integrates practical & theoretical aspects of technology, including coding, digital media, and design principles. - Support student learning through hands-on projects, coding activities, video production, and the use of industry-relevant digital tools. - Incorporate elements of design thinking, architecture, and multimedia production to foster creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application - Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology, digital media, and design concepts across the curriculum. Qualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Technology Education. - Experience teaching technology at the high school level is preferred. - Strong classroom management and communication skills. - Familiarity with STEM/STEAM initiatives. - Passion for innovation and interdisciplinary teaching.
