Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is actively seeking candidates for Pre-Teaching Paid Internships beginning in February in local school districts. These opportunities are open to students who are pursuing a graduate degree in teaching or a related field. Learn from master educators while working directly with students in one of our partner districts (Chappaqua, Harrison, Katonah-Lewisboro, Lakeland, North Salem, Peekskill, Port Chester, Scarsdale or Somers). The internship will require four days per week in a school setting, supporting students and teachers while gaining on-the-job experience.Qualifications: Currently applying or enrolled in a Master's Degree in Teaching or extended certification program (in SWD, TESOL, etc.). Characteristics Desired: Must have a positive attitude, be flexible and willing to learn. Must demonstrate excellent communication and a passion for teaching.
