Duties: Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates operating a 6-week ESY Program for students with disabilities from July 1, 2026 through August 11, 2026. Teaching Assistant candidates are needed to work with students with disabilities in a variety of programs. Teaching Assistant candidates are needed are needed to assist classroom teacher in the instruction and management of students.To begin July 1, 2026 (Only those who can work the full 6-week program and those who are available to attend the ESY Orientation on June 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM need apply).Qualifications: Ability to form positive relationships with students. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to observe and report accurately. High School diploma required.Characteristics Desired: Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders and/or multiple disabilities. Must be driven, organized and have the ability to positively manage students. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
