Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a vacancy for a Junior Administrative Assistant to work between the Professional Learning Division and Regional Safety Services departments. Duties may include, but are not limited to:Assisting the Director of Leadership & Student Support Services as well as the Director of Regional Safety Services in the creation and management of budget and spending forecasts, reviewing monthly budget analysis and status reports and information to leadership of the Guidance & Child Study Center and Regional Safety Services departments;Preparing, reviewing and maintaining the financial accounts in conjunction with the Administrative Assistant within the departments utilizing software such as WinCap, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.;Work with Districts who contract Regional Safety Services and Guidance & Child Study Center services by coordinating the purchasing and payment processes, ensuring accurate ordering, receipt and payment remittance;Maintaining vendors used within the two departments;Managing the GCSC multi-lingual evaluation center scheduling, inventory, efficiencies, processing requests, etc. (Multi-lingual Evaluation Center is a service provided to districts within the GCSC);Supporting the Directors in departmental goals and initiatives, and work on special projects, and other duties as required by the departments.Qualifications: Must be highly motivated and organized, able to multi-task and take independent action and initiative to ensure the timely and accurate processing of the workflow. Proficient in MS Word and Outlook, and experience with WinCap preferred. Good communication skills/phone etiquette to work with district representatives when needed.
