Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a full-time vacancy for a Coordinator of RPC. The Coordinator of RPC will fulfill the Office of Special Education (OSE) Regional Partnership Center Contract requirements and be responsible for the duties below:Lead trainings on the special education process consistent with federal law, regulation and guidance, as well as State law and NYSED guidance;Facilitate systems change work in districts throughout the Lower Hudson region, provide leadership support and coaching, and coordinate intensive embedded supports through the development and implementation of NYSED-approved support plans.Support the Director in:Hiring, supervising, and evaluating RPC specialists and support staff;Planning and facilitating professional learning, coaching, observations and problem-solving processes for Center staff in collaboration with the NYSED OSE Technical Assistance Partnerships and Family and Community Engagement Center;Facilitating team, BOCES, and OSE Partnership meetings;Ensuring delivery of high-quality professional learning by all Center staff in the areas of: Specially Designed and Explicit Instruction, Culturally Responsive Education, Special Education Systems, Behavior Supports, Literacy, and Transition Planning;Overseeing the reporting and tracking of professional learning and technical assistance outputs;Collecting, analyzing, and monitoring data to assess the Center's impact;Representing the department on the BOCES safety committee and ensuring all safety measures and protocols are implemented in the department’s buildings.Qualifications: Master’s degree and certification in special education, reading, or a related services field;NYS SBL and/or SDL Certification;Five years’ experience teaching students with disabilities or the provision of related services;Three years' experience as CSE/CPSE Chairperson and/or special education administrator preferred;Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and evidence-based practices in the areas of literacy instruction, behavioral supports and interventions and specially-designed instructional practices are preferred.
