Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for full-time Teaching Assistants. Candidates must be able to work with advanced students as well as students with special needs. Candidates must be able to assist in the instruction of Career & Technical Education (CTE) curricula to students enrolled in CTE programs.This appointment will include a 4-year probationary period and lead to a possible recommendation for Tenure.Qualifications: Must be properly certified by the New York State Education Department to work as a Teaching Assistant.Characteristics Desired: Ability to work with students and staff in a CTE classroom setting and provide clear and accurate assistance to students in the program. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
