Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester anticipates a need for a Food Service Helper. This is a 10 month annualized position. This position is unique to serving the needs of our diverse student population and assisting in the operations of the school kitchen in a friendly and professional manner. Duties may include: Assists in the preparation of vegetables, meats, sandwiches, salads, etc.Assists in meal servingCleans and organize prep and serving areasUtilize POS system for student and adult transactionsAssists with accepting deliveries and inventory managementBank deposits as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications: The successful candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent, be physically able to perform job related duties, follow written and oral instructions thoroughly and be proficient in organization and communication skills.Characteristics Desired: Must have a positive, can-do attitude; Flexible and the ability to multitask and switch gear easily; Collaborative individual who can work as part of a team; Strong interpersonal skills. Dependable and reliable; Must be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
