Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a full-time vacancy for a Nursing Supervisor to join our BOCES. Nursing Supervisor needed to provide oversight of private duty nurses, manage BOCES Health & Safety Plan, function as the Health Commerce System administrator, maintain student records and care plan compliance, and facilitate health & safety trainings. Ensure compliance with state and district policies; must provide nursing coverage to other programs as needed and related work as required.Qualifications: Must hold valid New York State RN licensure, current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications; have the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other nursing, administrative and instructional staff; possess top-notch oral and written skills and strong attention to detail; be willing to take responsibility for students’ well-being; and the ability to plan and appropriately respond to pediatric illness and/or injury including, but not limited to, seizure response, severe allergic reaction, diabetes and asthma.Characteristics Desired: Previous experience working with students with developmental delays, communication disorders, and mental health/behavioral challenges strongly preferred. Candidates must be highly organized, flexible, and have effective communication and problem-solving skills. A positive, can-do attitude is a must.
