Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a Program Supervisor to support the building principal of Fox Meadow with social/emotional systems of support and curriculum. Duties of Position include, but are not limited to:Assist the Fox Meadow Supervisor with expanding, supporting, and facilitating meetings regarding Social/Emotional/Behavioral RTI systems within an MTSS framework;Monitor and support building level minor and major disciplinary actions, process, and data collection and analysis to inform MTSS, equity, and disciplinary practices;Utilize this with academic and SEL data to inform MTSS, equity, and disciplinary practices;Support student DASA investigations;Develop and deliver professional development around social/emotional/behavioral evidence-based practices;Provide support in supervision, evaluation, and observation of staff members;Support PBIS, SEL, and Crisis Intervention initiatives;Support Peer Mediation and Restorative Practices initiatives;Support Work-Based Learning initiatives;Assist in supporting NYSED K-12 Social Emotional Learning Benchmarks and social/emotional curriculum integration;Participate in and contribute to Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings;Collaborate with the Fox Meadow Supervisor to develop programming for a diverse student population with a focus on the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures recommendations;Complete any additional supervisory duties as assigned.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of special education;Proven ability as a leader with knowledge of effective instructional practices for students with disabilities;Be an innovative planner and an effective communicator who has developed positive relationships with colleagues, faculty, staff, students, and parents;Expertise in staff supervision and evaluation with knowledge of APPR process is required;Candidate must possess a degree in special education or related field as well as New York State administrative certification (SAS, SDA, SBL, SDL)Characteristics Desired: Previous experience as an administrator of programs for students with disabilities desired. Candidate must be highly organized and have effective communication skills. Additionally, must have a commitment to the PNW BOCES mission of service and innovation through partnership.
