Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a vacancy for a Special Education Reading Teacher/Literacy Coach to work collaboratively in several different locations with classroom teachers, families, administrators and other professionals to provide reading related services according to student per IEP mandates and to improve literacy across content areas/programs. Experience with data collection and analysis, literacy curriculum development, and provision of in-service trainings preferred.Must be willing to travel.Qualifications: Appropriate NYSED Reading certification and Wilson Level 1 certification required.Characteristics Desired: Experience teaching remedial reading and teaching students with various disabilities. Must be organized, flexible, patient, collaborative and have the ability to work in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
