King Street Elementary SchoolPort Chester Rye Union Free School DistrictThe Port Chester Rye Union Free School District is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and energetic instructional leader to fill the vacancy position of an Elementary Assistant Principal at King Street Elementary School. We are looking for a visible, participatory leader who can assist the Principal in fostering a climate of collaboration and trust.Responsibilities:The Elementary Assistant Principal will:Support the Principal in the overall administration and management of the school.Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's educational programs.Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers.Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.Analyze student data and use data-informed decision making to improve instruction.Promote the effective use of technology in the classroom and as an instructional tool.Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.Supervise and evaluate staff as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.Qualifications:An experienced educator with a strong knowledge of Childhood Curriculum and Instruction.Skilled with data analysis and data-informed decision making.Thorough knowledge of the use of technology in the classroom and as an instructional tool.A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at the Childhood level (preferred).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.Certification:New York State School Building Administrator (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) certification required.
