Requirements: NYS Certification- School Psychologist with Bilingual ExtensionExpertise in the treatment of trauma Strong behavioral training/experience or Board Certified Behavior Analyst Strong written and verbal communication skillsResponsibilities include but not limited to the following:Collaborate with other psychologist(s) and mental health service providersSupport the implementation of restorative justice practices Enhance school-wide positive behavioral supportsIdentify “at risk” students and social/emotional vulnerabilities in the school settingFacilitate classroom interventions to support trauma-sensitive schoolsFacilitate referrals to community supports and corresponding agencies Develop mental health plans Participate at CPSE, CSE and 504 meetings.Develop and monitor FBAs & BIPs.Confer with teachers, students, parents and related service providers regarding behavioral data and adaptations to the classroom environment.Support students' emotional, behavioral, and management needs.Deliver counseling as per student IEP mandates.Maintain accurate records, counseling logs and Medicaid related documents.Conduct student’s observations in academic settingsProvide crisis prevention and intervention services Facilitate transition planningConduct psychological evaluations Confer with teachers, students, parents and related service providers regarding behavioral data and adaptation to the school environmentKeep current with research methods, evaluation techniques, and service treatments Maintain accurate records, counseling logs, and related documentsComplete other School Psychologist’s related duties as assigned by the School and/or District AdministratorThe Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District is an equal opportunity employer.
