High School English TeacherPosition Overview:The Port Chester School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher to join our high school team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English language arts curriculum, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and effective English Language Arts instruction to high school students.Develop and implement curriculum aligned with district standards.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning.Participate in professional development opportunities.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with NYS learning standards and the school's curriculum.Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning experiences.Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices.Other duties as determined by the principal.Qualifications Required:Valid NYS teaching certification in English Language Arts (Grades 7-12).
