The following full-time position is available for the 2024-2025 school year effective January 6, 2025.Elementary School Teaching AssistantEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Communicate with parents about their child's progress.Organize and coordinate community drives (e.g., winter coat, toy, Halloween costume, book drives).Connect families with community services and resources.Facilitate communication between families and building/district employees.Provide translation services as needed.Work closely with and under the supervision of the Social Worker/Community Developer.Job Qualifications:Experience working with children in an educational setting.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Patience, flexibility, and adaptability.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Certifications Required:The position requires current NYS certification in the area of Teaching Assistant (Level I, II, or III).
