The Port Chester-Rye UFSD will be hiring 12 Hall Monitors for the 2023-2024 school year. The postions are 10 months -7 hours per day. Under supervision employees in this class perform a variety of non-teaching duties requiring the excercise of good judgement and the ability to get along well with children, youths and/or young adults. The incumbent in this class is responsible for the supervisiono f students and student activities and for maintaining order in school buildings, and school grounds, playgrounds and at street crossings. Work requires the employee to be able to maintain discipline amoung students in a courteous but firm manner. Mininum requirements High School diploma, experience working with youth/teenagers is preferable.* Candidates for appointment must obtain clearance for employment from the State Education Department prior to employment based upon a fingerprint and criminal history background check.
