Adult Education Department has an opening for a full time HVAC Instructor. The instructor will guide theclassroom and lab learning experiences for the students preparing to be entry-level HVAC Technicians.QUALIFICATIONS: Must have high school diploma or GED, five years verifiable industry experiencewithin the last ten years. Must be certified or licensed where required by law. Associate degree inrelated field is desirable.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide Hands-On Training: Instruct students in the proper use of HVAC tools, equipment, and safetyprocedures.• Assess Student Progress: Develop and administer assessments to measure student proficiency and providefeedback for improvement.• Develop Industry-Relevant Projects: Incorporate real-world scenarios and problem-solving activities to enhancelearning.• Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment inaccordance with OSHA and industry regulations.• Provide Career Guidance: Assist students with career pathways, including resume building, job searchstrategies, and interview preparation.• Support Student Certification Preparation: Guide students in obtaining industry-recognized certifications, suchas OSHA-10, EPA 608, or other relevant credentials.• Collaborate with Employers: Establish and maintain relationships with local HVAC companies to facilitate jobplacements, internships, and guest speaker opportunities.• Maintain Accurate Records: Document student attendance, progress, and performance as required by programguidelines.• Adapt Instructional Strategies: Modify teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
