The Career & Technical Education department is looking for someone with culinary knowledge and experience to provide an educational atmosphere for high school students to develop culinary arts skills. The teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and learning experiences that align with the curriculum and a workplace environment.Sample topics of instruction include: Food Safety, Cooking Methods, Nutrition, Food Service Equipment, etc. State of the art culinary kitchen and classroom space are provided for the program.This position follows the 10-month school calendar. Retirement and medical benefits available. On-going support is provided to assist candidates who are new to the teaching field. Applicants must possess (or be willing to obtain) a NYS teaching certificate in Culinary Career Grades 7-12. Professional culinary experience is highly valued.
