CiTi BOCES is seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to join our team. As an art teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education to students with disabilities, fostering their creativity, and helping them express themselves through art.Responsibilities:Art Instruction: Deliver engaging and inclusive art lessons to students in K through 12th grade. Utilize alternative learning techniques and a multidisciplinary approach to accommodate diverse learning needs.Individualized Support: Tailor instruction to meet the unique abilities and challenges of students with disabilities. Adapt teaching methods, materials, and assessments as necessary.Collaboration: Work closely with other educators, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, track achievements, and provide feedback to promote growth.IEP Implementation: Collaborate with student teams to ensure appropriate implementation of IEPsClassroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices, attend workshops, and engage in continuous learning.Qualifications:NYS Certification: Hold a valid New York State teaching certification in Art.Experience: Prior experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.Passion: Demonstrate a genuine passion for art education and a commitment to fostering creativity in all students.Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students.Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.Patience and Empathy: Show patience, empathy, and understanding in working with diverse learners.
