Jeanett MedinaMunicipal Civil Service Commission515 North Avenue- 1st FloorNew Rochelle, NY, 10801 DISTINGUISED FEATURES OF THE CLASS:Under general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business, the Director of Transportation is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all aspects of a safe, efficient, and economical transportation program including scheduling of bus runs, employee work assignments, vehicle maintenance and safety, compliance with laws and regulations related to school bus operations and required reporting. General supervision is exercised over transportation personnel. Must be able to interact and communicate with parents, staff, building administrators, municipal/state personnel and bus contracting company personnel on a regular basis. Does related work as required.
