The New Interdisciplinary School is now hiring for NYS Certified Special Education Preschool Teacher with ABA experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic Preschool teacher, with at least 1 year experience working as a Special Education Teacher with children on the autism spectrum. Knowledge of best practice, curriculum and assessment a must.Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.- Provide specialized instruction to support the development of communication and social skills.- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to address challenging behaviors.- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other educators to create a supportive learning environment.- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.- Stay current on best practices in special education and early childhood development.Qualifications:Valid New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 2) required.Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of classroom experience working with children on the autism spectrum.Strong understanding of preschool curriculum, developmental milestones, and differentiated instruction.Experience with ABA methodologies strongly preferred.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Commitment to inclusive and developmentally appropriate practices.
