The Nassau BOCES Department of Human Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Serve as the hiring manager for teachers, pupil personnel professionals, and other certificated staff for Nassau BOCES and district programs as well as Regional Summer School and the Extended Year Program- Supervise personnel clerks in completing day-to-day operations as well as preparing for Agency-wide events- Monitor seniority and tenure eligibility for all probationary staff and coordinate the tenure review process- Review all change of status transactions pertaining to certified staff that include but not limited to, leave of absence requests, resignations, terminations, retirements, tenure eligibility and seniority- Direct the Nassau BOCES Mentor Program and serve on the Professional Learning Plan Committee- Maintain and provide updates/training on using HR software products such as OLAS, Frontline Professional Growth, Employee Evaluation Management, and the Global Compliance Network- Monitor upcoming expiring certifications and provide notice to applicable employees- Coordinate the advertising process for posting certified and classified employment opportunities- Review professional development courses submitted for salary adjustment and coordinate the salary advancement process- Report required data to NYSED, such as State Reporting requirements, APPR, and BEDS- Collaborate with component districts regarding advertising services, substitute management, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the Employment Fair for Ethnically and Culturally Diverse Educators- Perform other administrative duties, as assignedRequirements:- NYSED School District Leader or School District Administrator certification is required- NYSED School Building Leader or School Administrator/Supervisor certification is also preferred- Excellent managerial, coaching, interpersonal, written and communication skills are required- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required- Experience developing data reports that monitor and guide the decision-making process is highly preferred- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and collaborate with departmental leadership on various projects and initiatives is requiredApply on OLAS and Click here to complete your application
