The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs is seeking part-time Adult Educators to support the Adult English as a Second Language program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching English to adults from beginner to advanced levels of speaking, reading and writing. Maintaining accurate attendance records. Fulfilling 14 hours of New York State mandated professional development. REQUIREMENTS: New York State Education Department Initial/Professional Certification in a K-12 academic area. Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL), Bilingual, Literacy and Reading preferred. Prior experience as a classroom teacher.
