The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Program Specialist I for the Model Schools program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting Nassau BOCES component school districts in enhancing learning through improved integration of technologyEnriching and supporting teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of students, teachers and staffDesigning and delivering professional development workshops tailored to district needsCommunicating with Nassau County school district technology directors and Assistant Superintendents to plan and deliver customized professional development to meet the needs of studentsAddressing changes and trends regarding the use of instructional technology REQUIREMENTS: New York State Education Department (NYSED) Professional Teacher CertificationNYSED Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA)Three or more years of teaching experience with a NYSED Teacher CertificationKnowledge of the New York State K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning StandardsSelf-directed, organized and collaborativeAbility to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with component school districtsKnowledge of and experience with instructional technology and applicationsKnowledge of state and federal laws surrounding student use of instructional technologiesAbility to travel SALARY: As per labor contract.
