*** IN ADDITION TO APPLYING ON OLAS, ALL APPLICANTS MUST VISIT THE NASSAU BOCES Employment Opportunities PAGE TO COMPLETE THEIR APPLICATION ***The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs is seeking a Supervisor I to oversee the Adult Education Program, which provides Career and Technical Education (CTE), English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE) and General Education Development courses to adult learners. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Supervise building administrators in program development and ensure that curricula and instruction align with the goals and objectives of the Adult Education program. Manage the admissions process for new students which includes to oversee or administer assessments to appropriately place new students. Support RSIP in the hiring, supervision, and observation of employees. Write and report on grants for Adult Education and communicate significant program developments to building administrators and department leadership. Build and maintain professional relationships with students, staff and community agencies. REQUIREMENTS: New York State Education Department Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA). New York State Education Department Certification: School Building Leader (SBL) or School Building Administrator (SBA). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and complete challenging tasks. Demonstrated successful experience in managing Employment Preparation Education (EPE) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding. Previous experience in Adult Education is essential. Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
