Responsibilities include: Conducting district outreach regarding student screenings, recommendations for services and student support.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of staff in providing on-going professional development that support student needs.Assisting with the review, development of implementation of social and emotional learning development programs throughout the department of special education. For example, PBIS Programs, QUAVER SEL Programs, Restorative Justice, and Trauma informed initiatives.Assisting with the review, development, and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA’s) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP’s).Participating in crisis interventions and trainings as needed.Any other duties assigned by building administrators: For example; assisting with review of record keeping practices, attending department meetings, assisting with coverage related issues.Requirements: New York State Education Department Certification: School Psychologist is required.Experience with FBA’s and BIP’s, as well as students with disabilities is preferred.New York State Licensure as a Psychologist is preferred.*** IN ADDITION TO APPLYING ON OLAS, ALL APPLICANTS MUST VISIT THE NASSAU BOCES Employment Opportunities PAGE TO COMPLETE THEIR APPLICATION ***
