The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction & Technology is seeking a Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II (10-Month). The Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II is responsible for planning, implementing, and training on instructional technology tools and resources. The Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II will:• Facilitate professional development sessions in educational technology integration• Support NYS Next Generation standards and best practices in technology integrationThe Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II will also be responsible for working with district personnel on special projects related to educational technology, curriculum and instruction.Requirements:• Knowledge of staff development trends, instructional techniques and learning theory• Strong experience and understanding of instructional technology equipment/materials• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and communication skills• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with local school districts• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience and availability to travel with a valid NYS Driver License• Candidates must possess a NYS Professional Teaching Certification with or without a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL)• NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) is preferred
