The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II (10 Month). The Model School Professional Developer/Program Specialist II is responsible for planning, implementing and training on instructional tools and resources. The Model Schools Professional Developer/Program Specialist II will facilitate professional development sessions in educational technology integration and support NYS Next Generation standards along with best practices in technology integration. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working with district personnel on special projects related to educational technology, curriculum and instruction.Requirements:New York State Professional Teaching Certification with or without a New York State Administrative Certification School District Administrator or School District Leader. SDA/SDL is preferred.3+ years of teaching and/or administrative experience.Knowledge of staff development trends, instructional techniques, technology and learning theory.Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and communication skills.Able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with local school districts.If the candidate is a certified guidance counselor, a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) is required or the candidate must be enrolled in a leadership program which could result in a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) and qualify for an Internship Certificate.
