Description:The Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology at Nassau BOCES is seeking a Program Specialist II – Shared Data Coordinator. Responsibilities include providing in-district and/or remote support for school districts including but not limited to:* Creation and implementation of processes related to current NYSED reporting requirements and deadlines* Development of processes to ensure accurate data reporting working closely with school leaders and staff* Facilitation of data conversations with district personnel related to school and district-wide data* Data analysis related to coordinating and verifying state reporting and accountability information including alignment of data with state and federal codes* Development of reports, charts, graphs and other visuals to support data conversations through computer-based applications* Support for the use of data dashboards and other data visualization toolsRequirements:* Understanding of SIRS regulations, Level 0 and verification timelines* Excellent managerial, coaching, interpersonal, written, verbal and communication skills* Experience in planning and leading professional learning in face-to-face, hybrid and virtual learning environments as well as building/administering program budgets* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint* Familiarity with Student Information Systems is desired* Availability to travel within Nassau County* Possession of a NYS Teaching Certification with or without a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL)* If the candidate is a certified guidance counselor, a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) is required or the candidate must be enrolled in a leadership program which could result in a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) and qualify for an Internship Certificate.
