The Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology at Nassau BOCES is seeking a Program Specialist II – Student Information Systems. Responsibilities include:- Provide on-site training, email and phone support to district and building employees including administrators, teachers, and clerical staff on the use of student information systems. These information systems include PowerSchool, Schooltool, Infinite Campus, and eSchoolData.- Assist districts with developing their student schedules, troubleshoot grading, transcript calculations and development of training materials- Provide 1:1 or group professional development to district staff and assist districts with state reporting rules, regulations, and data verification- Research issues related to student data, analysis of data extracts and other duties related to student information systemsRequirements:- NYS Professional Teaching Certification with or without a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL)- Comprehensive knowledge of PowerSchool, Schooltool, Infinite Campus or eSchoolData- Experience and knowledge of the New York State Reporting requirements for school districts- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables is preferred- Experience with data mining is preferred- If the candidate is a certified guidance counselor, a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) is required, or the candidate must be enrolled in a leadership program which could result in a NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL) and qualify for an Internship Certificate. The candidate must have completed 50% of the program and the program determines if the student is eligible for an internship certificationPrevious Applicants are still under consideration.
