Description:The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is seeking a Health Teacher. The successful candidate must have experience working with students with learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs, possesses strong skills in differentiated instruction and demonstrated abilities in data-informed instruction and the Next Generation Learning Standards.Requirements:* NYSED Certification: Health Education is required* Additional NYSED Certification: Physical Education is preferred* Experience working with students with disabilities ages 3-21 of varying ability levels and/or students who require the use of adaptive equipment or modifications of all activities is preferred* Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the individualized needs of students* Knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Next Generation Learning Standards for Health Education
