The Nassau BOCES Adult Education Program - Adult Learning Center is seeking a part time, Evening, High School Secondary Math Educator. Part-time, High School Secondary Math Instruction is based on the content of the TASC™ exam, which includes Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science. Classes meet for 3-hour sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30-9:30 in Westbury at our Barry Tech facility.Responsibilities:• Utilize HSE Adult Education Math curriculum to prepare students to successfully sit for the Math portion of the TASC™ exam.Requirements:• Teachers must hold a current New York State Education Teaching Certification in Math and/or Adult Education.• Previous Adult Education experience is preferred• HSE instructors with secondary math certification preferred• 14 hours of professional development is required annually
