The Nassau BOCES Adult Education Program is seeking part-time educators to teach English as a Second Language classes during the 2022-2023 school year. Educators will fulfill all teaching responsibilities for the assigned course in an inclusive working and learning environment. Locations:- Levittown, Freeport and Elmont (3-5 days per week for 3-4 hours per day)- Westbury, Freeport, Levittown, and Valley Stream (2 nights per week for 3 hours each day)- Other location assignments may become available based on enrollmentResponsibilities:- Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality ESL and literacy instruction- Maintaining accurate attendance and testing paperwork- Attending bimonthly faculty meetings and fulfilling 14 hours of NYS mandated professional developmentRequirements:- Appropriate NYSED Teaching Certification is required- Prior experience as a teacher and/or adult educator is preferred
