Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assume all administrative responsibilities for the Human Resources Department including the budget.Develop best practices pertaining to onboarding and exit interview process, annual review of the Employee Handbook, hiring practices manual, mandatory postings and seniority maintenance.Oversee maintenance of personnel records and implement programs such as Frontline.Supervise staff to carry out the functions and responsibilities of the department.Participate in labor negotiations.Lead the planning and implementation of professional development for administration and office support staff.Communicate, cooperate and collaborate with all department leaders across the Agency. Requirements:New York State Education Department Certification: School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS), School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL). School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) is preferred.Three or more years of high-level Human Resources experience including at least one year of experience as an Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in a public school district and/or BOCES.The ability to collaborate, plan and communicate information effectively to building and central administration is essential.Extensive knowledge of New York State Education, Civil Service and Employment and Labor Law and all areas of Human Resources.Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
