Malverne School District is seeking recent graduate candidate who holds NYS certification in the following positions: *English to Speakers of Other Languages Grades Pre-K-12 REQUIREMENTS: Have a valid NYS Teacher certification in any of the following: ESOL Pre-K-12Two-year minimum experience teaching EXPERIENCE WITH: Providing rigorous lessons aligned with the NYS Next Generation ELA Standards with modifications for ELLs and an abridged SIFE component.Teaching students through an inquiry-based curriculum, and place the thinking work on all students.Collaborating with the Instructional Leadership to design and implement a rich and rigorous curriculum and assessments aligned to state standards.Demonstrating experience integrating technology resources into teaching and learningInvestigating innovative technologies and applications for implementing in the classroomActively integrating culture, language, and academic support into lessons while bridging learning gaps for ELLsMaintaining accurate and complete records of students’ progress and developmentBeing an active participant in honorary memberships/organizations, department, school, district meetings and professional development activitiesFostering and maintaining effective communication with parents and/or guardiansEstablishing a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapportDemonstrating a relentless commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levels.Performing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, Principal or other appropriate administrator
